Baillieu Library Virtual Tour (more details)

This highly interactive library tour uses a clickable map as its primary interface. Users select a service or collection and a pop up box offers textual information, plus the option to see a photo or visit a link for more information. The tour includes a navigational side bar of links to different floors in the library. There is also an option for a text-only tour.

The tour gives the user several navigation options: Users may follow a guided tour by clicking through a series of pages; choose a link to information about a specific action (e.g., search for and borrow items); or use a clickable map to find details about locations in the library. Killam Library Virtual Tour (more details)

This library uses the standard photo/text tour in a different way by taking users on a "road trip," complete with highway signs, detours, and map legends. The tour offers different highway routes for users to navigate the tour: guided route, interactive library maps, or drop down list of "Where do I find . . . " options. The tour also includes icons beneath the photos to designate specific user services available (e.g., laptop hookups, copy machines, help desk).
